Willamette Valley Vineyards Domaine Willamette Pavilion

Four-season pavilion wine tasting experience

Domaine Willamette is Willamette Valley Vineyards’ new sparkling wine facility in Dundee, Oregon. It is perched above the hills at their Bernau Estate and offers expansive views to visitors. SEA designed the new four-season pavilion to support this new facility and the vineyards’ growing customer base. The pavilion increases Domaine Willamette’s capacity while offering an experience, opening up the tasting area to the fresh air and views of the surrounding vineyard and Mount Hood beyond.

The pavilion is sited on a slope and has two levels to maximize the views. The upper level has a fireplace and lounge, while the lower level has seating to accommodate large parties. The pavilion’s materials tie into other buildings on the site and the shed-style roof matches the pitch of the Estate’s main building.

SEA also provided lighting and ceiling design for Domaine Willamette’s Wine Shop building. The Wine Shop is housed in a structure previously used to store tractors and farm equipment—our concept centers on a wood beam grid ceiling that supports feature lighting with an effervescent feel, a nod to the Estate’s sparkling wine production.
