Three Sisters Ranch
Agricultural character connects house to Central Oregon surroundings
Three Sisters Ranch rests between neighboring farmlands and offers views of several Central Oregon peaks. The house’s agricultural character derives from its surroundings and is expressed using exposed beams, gable roofs, and industrial steel. The regular grid spacing of the post-and-beam construction requires careful planning and detailing to ensure the spaces fit and flow together to create a home that realizes the client’s vision. The house’s placement in the center of the tree-dotted property considers both constructability and views—the design’s touchpoint is maintaining the connection to the landscape.
